The entirety of the time Park Hoon was shown in South Korea, he was followed. He first gets out of the jail and goes back to the small hospital he set up. Current Prime Minister, Jang Seok Joo’s bodyguard is shown in the back of the car watching the hospital. His motive is still unknown, as on the bridge, he was the one that shot down the soldiers that were trying to kill Hoon and Jae Hee. However, he is Jang Seok Joo’s right hand man and the one the ‘took care’ of Hoon’s mother. He assisted Jang Seok Joo in putting Hoon and his family away so that Jang Seok Joo could take the credit for stopping the war. He has both assisted and gone against Hoon on multiple accounts. His character is quite closed off as well. He wears dark sunglasses and rarely talks.
Park Hoon was also spied upon when he was visiting Mr. Lim. Only the silhouette of the person was shown and small bodily details. The person had short black hair and was wearing more casual clothing. The person seemed like a man and someone other than the bodyguard. The bodyguard also appeared in the same small shop Hoon was in and copied the contents of a flash drive and soon left. The man spying on Hoon before approached Mr. Lim and handed him money. He was then revealed to be the same North Korean general that took Hoon and his father back to North Korea and tried to kill Hoon and Jae Hee. He handed Mr. Lim money for lying to Hoon. By the time Mr. Lim processed the money and looked up, he had disappeared.
The bodyguard was then shown reporting to Jang Seok Joo about what he had found about Park Hoon. He also showed the Prime Minister the flash drive content, which was a small video clip of Jae Hee in a labor camp. They continued discussing Park Hoon, and Jang Seok Joo told his bodyguard to continue to keep an eye on Park Hoon implying that he wanted him to continue to follow and spy on him. During the discussion, the bodyguard ate a lollipop, the exact same kind as the one that young Park Hoon gave to him many years ago when Jang Seok Joo came to visit his father. It implies a sort of connection between Park Hoon and the bodyguard. Based on all of these minor details, a conclusion on which side the bodyguard is on can’t be reached. Meanwhile, the North Korean soldier is definitely planning something sinister.
