Jang doesn’t give in and order his men to take Jae Hee and Hoon. They don’t listen and the President surprises everyone by telling Jang he won’t reveal what just happened if he continues to do as the President says. Jang asks for a favor for the President to hand Jae Hee and Hoon to him and the President agrees. Jang gloats to Hoon and Jae Hee who are trapped in a room in the hospital. Agent Cha is waiting disguised as a bodyguard and Jang pulls off in his car. The car suddenly stops and Jang is shot thrice. The driver turns around and laughs. He is none other than Agent Cha who manages to escape as Jang’s men along with Hoon and Jae Hee run to the car. Hoon orders to prepare for surgery and Jae Hee tries convincing Hoon to let Jang die. Hoon refuses and decides to save Jang. As they prepare for surgery, Jang’s mean tell Hoon that even the President won’t blame him if Jang dies. Hoon denies again and saves Jang.
Jang’s main bodyguard tells Hoon there is a plan in place for him and Jae Hee to leave the country. They run onto a bridge where Agent Cha is waiting. He shoots Hoon once, but before he can shoot him again Jae Hee jumps in the way. The scene replays exactly as it was in Budapest episodes before. Only this time Hoon makes sure not to let go of Jae Hee’s hand. Soo Hyun and Chang Yi look for Hoon and watch the scene unfold in front of them. Hoon and Jae Hee tumble over the bridge and Agent Cha says “Long live the the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea” before killing himself.
Time moves forward to a year later. The episode checks in on the other characters to show how their lives have been. Jae Joon visits Soo Hyun’s father and apologizes for hurting Soo Hyun. The Chairman says he forgives him as Han Jae Joon. Soo Hyun apologizes for thinking rashly of him. Jae Joon then says they need seek forgiveness from another. He hints that it is Park Hoon. They stop by a clinic in a rural area. Hoon greets Soo Hyun like he always did and she hits him with her bag multiple times out of anger that he led her on to believe he was dead. The three share a meal together and Soo Hyun asks about Jae Hee. Jae Joon tells her what happened and that she would be returning to Korea today. Soo Hyun and Jae Joon stand atop a hill and watch. A car pulls up and Jae Hee comes out. Hoon and Jae Hee smile at each other before hugging and the shot pulls up to the mountains and the episode finishes.
